ดัง > จมูก "nose"
ขุน > กษัตริย์ "king"
โรงยา (orโรงหมอ) > โรงพยาบาล "hospital"
สายใจ > ชีวิต "life"
All of these words except ดัง "nose" and สายใจ "life" are still in used. Though some words like ความ "language" and โรงยา "hospital" are quite rare.

cool! i wonder if ฅำ comes from 金 as perhaps เงิน from 銀... hmmm
Hi Mr. Christopher. Indeed, many linguists have said that these words were probably borrowed from Old Chinese. :)
